Students create a science fiction story in which chloroplasts invade the cells of an unassuming animal. This project allows students to show their understanding of the inner workings of a plant cell (photosynthesis, glucose, sugar, oxygen, carbon dioxide, sunlight) and how these structures would affect an animal cell. Students can even choose how they wish to complete the project- a story, comic, fairy tale, etc.
