We have been playing around with different ways of “Getting Nerdy” online.  The main avenues teachers use to search for new ideas, teaching tips, and trending educational trends tends to be through the standard sites of Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and the like.  So, what’s the next BIG thing? We decided to take some advice from a friend who is happily considered a “geek” and they suggested we tap into the “front page of the internet”:

This social bookmarking site has a sub-reddit (community) for just about any interest you can think of. You can search for various topics to interact with users or upload a link or text with a fitting title and choose your sub-reddit in order to start a conversation.  You can do a simple search and see what’s trending in the educational world.
