STEM/STEAM Student-led Science Centers & Lab Stations for Life Science & Biology
Want to head full steam into STEM / STEAM, but not sure how to get started? Try our Nerdy take on S.T.E.A.M.! With science as the primary background subject, students learn all about life science as they flex their skills in cross-curricular activities that include Social Studies, Technology, ELA, Art, and Math.
This bundle includes over 280 student-led, print and go, low-to-no prep stations that are easy to implement with just a few household items. The included student response pages help students navigate through each rotation as they use their prior knowledge from in-class instruction to complete each lab station.
We love our lab stations for their ease of use, cross-curricula integration, and the diversity of activities. The included breather station allows students to take a brain break or finish up a station that they didn't get to complete. Our scholar station allows you to assess their day's work in just a few questions. Laminate your instructional pages pieces for years of use!
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THIS LESSON:
• Signage in two sizes for eight stations, blank templates to create your own stations, and student station role description for each of the following:
→ Explorer: Students learn about current scientific events, historical figures and global happenings
→ Researcher: Students use technology to research related topics
→ Maker: Students engage in engineering, designing, building, assembling, and/or experimenting
→ Scriber: Students write a response to a question or problem
→ Reader: Students answer questions related to a reading passage
→ Performer: Students use their creativity as they participate in one of the many arts
→ Solver: Students use their math skills to answer science related math problems
→ Scholar: Students complete a final assessment piece that aligns with the lessons in the circuit
